Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and nutritious selection of meals Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed Collaborate with dietary aides to meet the specific needs of residents or clients Provide exceptional service during meal times, ensuring a fine dining experience Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation Participate in catering events as needed, contributing to menu design and execution Support kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization

Experience

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred Proven background in food service, including restaurant or catering experience Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on cooking techniques and meal preparation Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations Experience in fine dining settings is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team while demonstrating leadership when necessary
