Founded in 1995, YES Employment + Entrepreneurship is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to enriching the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start and grow businesses.



Position Summary



Are you detail-oriented and passionate about supporting community initiatives through effective grant management? Join the Youth Employment Services Foundation as a Grant Specialist and help ensure the success and compliance of our community granting programs.

The Grant Specialist oversees the community granting function, managing the application process, supporting grantees and partners, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and conducting audits. This role is key to maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of grant-funded initiatives.

Position Responsibilities



Manage the grant application process and provide guidance to applicants.

Support grantees and partners throughout the grant lifecycle.

Administer internal or external grant review committees, including scheduling, documentation, and communications.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting and monitor deliverables.

Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with grant terms.

Assist in developing and maintaining guides, templates, and contracts.

Support senior leadership in preparing for board or funder meetings related to grants and funding.

Follow up with partners and grantees to ensure ongoing support and compliance.

Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, funders, and other key stakeholders.

Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned to support the evolving needs of the grants program and the organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience in grant management or a related area.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to conduct audits and review documentation for accuracy.

Proficiency in grant management software and tools.

Comfortable using MS Office, CRM systems, video conferencing, Outlook, and digital collaboration tools.

Bilingualism is an must.

As an organization that provides services in English this position requires excellent English writing and communication skills.

Le(la) Specialiste des subventions est responsable de la gestion des programmes de financement communautaire, incluant le processus de demande, le soutien aux beneficiaires et aux partenaires, la preparation de rapports exacts et ponctuels ainsi que la realisation d'audits. Ce role est essentiel pour maintenir l'integrite et l'efficacite des initiatives financees par subvention.

Responsabilites principales



Gerer le processus de demande de subvention et fournir un accompagnement aux demandeurs. Offrir un soutien aux beneficiaires et aux partenaires tout au long du cycle de vie de la subvention. Administrer les comites d'evaluation internes ou externes, incluant la planification, la documentation
et les communications.

Assurer la preparation de rapports exacts et ponctuels et surveiller le respect des livrables. Realiser des audits periodiques afin de garantir la conformite aux conditions des subventions. Contribuer a l'elaboration et a la mise a jour de guides, gabarits et contrats. Appuyer la haute direction dans la preparation des reunions du conseil d'administration ou des bailleurs
de fonds liees aux subventions et au financement.

Effectuer des suivis aupres des partenaires et des beneficiaires afin d'assurer un soutien continu
et la conformite.

Etablir et entretenir des relations avec les organismes communautaires, les bailleurs de fonds et d'autres parties prenantes cles. Effectuer toute autre tache connexe ou projet special, selon les besoins evolutifs du programme de subventions et de l'organisation. Connaissances, competences et qualifications Baccalaureat en administration publique, en administration des affaires, en sciences sociales ou dans un domaine connexe. Experience en gestion de subventions ou dans un domaine connexe. Solides competences en organisation et en gestion du temps. Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en relations interpersonnelles. Capacite a realiser des audits et a examiner la documentation avec rigueur. Maitrise des logiciels et outils de gestion de subventions. A l'aise avec MS Office, les systemes CRM, les plateformes de videoconference, Outlook et les outils de collaboration numerique. Le bilinguisme est requis.

En tant qu'organisation qui offre des services en anglais, ce poste exige d'excellentes competences en redaction et en communication dans cette langue.
