Hotel Grand Pacific is a proud member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts, located on Victoria's beautiful Inner Harbour. With seven meeting rooms and two ballrooms, we provide an exceptional setting for events of all types. We're looking for a hands-on,organized leader to guide our Banquets team and oversee our Courtyard Cafe operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee Banquet and Cafe functions to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
Lead staff in setup and service, assisting as needed.
Recruit, train, and coach a team to provide excellent service.
Manage staff schedules according to Collective Agreement guidelines.
Conduct performance reviews and coaching.
Submit payroll accurately and on time.
Handle monthly inventory and administrative tasks.
Perform other duties assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.
Requirements
5 years of experience in banquet or full-service food operations.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in Banquets.
Strong team leadership, coaching, and training skills.
Extensive knowledge of food, beverages, and wines.
Positive, hands-on leadership style.
Excellent communication and collaboration with other departments.
Flexible availability including weekends and evenings.
Advanced knowledge of Squirrel POS.
Serving It Right and Food Safe certificates required.
Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
