This position will be located in Burnaby, BC. As an EIT/ Junior Water Resources Engineer, you will be involved in various municipal infrastructure multi-disciplinary projects from conception through to completion. You will have many opportunities to learn and develop while working on engaging projects. Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Engineer of Record, you will prepare engineering designs and perform site visits for water resources infrastructure, ensuring the deliverables meet defined requirements. Experience working on water resource design is essential.


Responsibilities:



Works with a team and under the guidance and direct supervision of the Engineer of Record to develop engineering products that meet quality requirements, while meeting budgetary and timeline constraints. Prepare designs of water resource systems. This includes preparation of: + Design and modelling using AutoCAD Civil 3D, PCSWMM, HECRAS and similar software, incorporating topographic surveys into the design and as-built surveys into record drawings.

+ Construction cost estimates
+ Technical memorandums and reports
Perform construction site inspections and prepare correspondent reports. Prepare proposals including work plans, cost estimates, and schedules using MS Project.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 1+ years of experience including AutoCAD Civil 3D work experience in a water resources design role. Proficiency in CAD Civil 3D and typical modelling packages is preferred. Experience in civil engineering, hydraulic modelling, planning, and design, construction inspection Excellent writing skills for preparation of memorandums, technical reports and proposals Proficient with MS Office Excellent attention to detail Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness. Salary Range:


$53,100 - $98,700
