Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care day-to-day . You will play a crucial part in ensuring that all pets receive the attention, cleanliness, and comfort they need while staying with us. This position requires a love for animals, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing regular cleaning tasks. Assist with animal restraint and care as directed by veterinary staff. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff. Support in maintaining accurate records of animal care and health status. Occasionally assist with customer service duties, including greeting pet owners and answering questions about services offered.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a passion for animal welfare is essential. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
