Job Summary
As an Animal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and care of animals in the clinic. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness of the clinic, as well as assist in restraint of dogs and cats for examinations and treatments.
We are hiring two permanent part-time positions, with the possibility of full-time advancement in the future. These positions will be heavily based on weekend hours, and some overnight hours as well.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and cleaning of living areas
- Handle and restrain animals as needed for procedures or examinations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
- Follow established protocols for animal care and handling
Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers
- Attention to detail in animal care tasks
- Willingness to learn and follow protocols for animal handling and care
- Previous experience or knowledge in a veterinary clinic setting is an asset
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
