As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading on-going continuous improvement as well as supporting daily production.
What you\'ll do
- Support test executive based functional test equipment and drive continuous improvement (tester uptime, reliability, performance and cycle time).
- Project management, including specification and implementation of new test equipment.
- Perform test limit refinement; sequence changes to accommodate new hardware or software product versions; fundamental platform changes.
- Interface with test equipment vendors as required to gain internal competencies in making changes as listed to equipment.
- Collaborate with other test engineers and product designers to develop strategies for future product test equipment.
- Search for reduced costs through higher integration and innovative test strategies.
What you\'ll bring
- Electrical and/or Mechatronic Engineering Degree.
- 3-5 years of work experience in the development of test systems preferred.
- Hands-on experience with product design on RF systems and /or test development for a high-volume manufacturing environment targeted for the automotive electronics market.
- Experience in the specification, design, procurement and acceptance of test equipment.
- Skilled in interpreting electronic schematics, engineering specifications and good knowledge of industry components.
- Hands-on experience with machine troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with software development in LabWindows and TestStand. The software will control test instrumentation such as sensors, relays, actuators, digital and analog I/O.
- Familiarity with applications that interact with hardware for high volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to debug hardware and software.
- Strong analytical skills and communication skills (verbal and written).
