Job Purpose

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, execution and reporting of engineering, performance, and functional testing of Dana TM4 traction system products on dynamometer benches. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians and developers and will have the chance to employ your initiative and resourcefulness to ensure the efficient execution of tests and the quality of the test results.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting engineering, performance, and functional testing on dynamometer benches

o Prior to the test
\xef\x82\xa7 Providing technical support to the program teams in the development of their test plan and procedures
\xef\x82\xa7 Preparing and/or creating the required test sequences
o During the test
\xef\x82\xa7 Supporting the assigned test technician in the execution of the test sequences
\xef\x82\xa7 Providing technical expertise as required to help with troubleshooting of the product (motor and drive)
o After the test
\xef\x82\xa7 Reviewing the test data to ensure that the test was performed successfully
\xef\x82\xa7 Writing and reviewing test reports
\xef\x82\xa7 Following up with the program teams in case of any test failures
You will be successful in this role if you have:

• B.Eng. in electrical engineering
• 3 or more years of relevant work experience in testing
• Familiarity with high-power electronics
• Interest in vehicle electrification
• Knowledge of data acquisition softwares (LabView, TestStand) an asset
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment: oscilloscope, multimeter, accelerometer, etc.
• The ability to communicate technical topics concisely and effectively
• Autonomy and resourcefulness
• Proactive, committed and solution oriented
• Professional working knowledge of English
