Position: Technical Resources Technologist, Entry

Division: Engineering - Distribution Engineering

Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Salary: $3,352.00 - $4,722.40 Bi-weekly

This position is responsible for assisting with technical support to Distribution design group. This area of responsibility will require technical skills in civil structure design and electrical design. Under close supervision, employees perform entry level duties of a simple nature within their area of assigned duties. Typical duties may include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

• Assists with preparation of design, estimates, approvals and schedules for capital projects.
• Liaison for both internal and external customers.
• Assists with the preparation and submission of reports and/or analysis in an accurate and timely manner for monthly, quarterly, annual and other special reports as required by the team function, department or regulation.
• Provides technical support and assistance that are required specific to or outside of the team function or department.
• Participates in project planning meetings and acts as liaison with internal groups.
• Develops and maintains policies.
• Other duties as required
• All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with established health, safety and environmental principles, standards, corporate policies, practices and procedures and applicable government legislation
• This position may work in extreme weather and/or difficult terrain conditions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a post-secondary technology diploma in a related discipline from a recognized Canadian institute of technology
• May be required to attain registration with ASET.
• 2-5 years of related experience
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
