We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is engaging and service oriented, to support our goals in making Raytheon ELCAN an even greater place to work!

Reporting to the Supervisor, HR Partner, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle of the talent acquisition process, will work with employees to proactively resolve HR issues and provide solutions. Serves as an HR liaison for all HR aspects, such as: recruitment, orientation, onboarding, and change management. As a member of a fast-paced Human Resources team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is accountable for providing high quality, accurate and professional support service to the organization. This position requires the successful candidate to work with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, strong work ethic and ability to maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment for all vacancies and campaigns.
  • Build talent pools for critical roles and drive social media content to attract candidates using innovative sourcing solutions to attract top talent with a variety of platforms: social media, job boards, networking, websites, Workday, LinkedIn, career website, and other technologies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to create and implement innovative recruitment strategies and initiatives, that align with corporate direction and meet both current and future business needs
  • Work closely with the HR Partner and Hiring Mangers to ensure integration of Equity Diversity and Inclusion principles in all stages of recruitment
  • Participating in HR project-based initiatives to further promote our employer brand and position as an employer of choice
  • Coach /train and support hiring managers through the recruitment process as per HR recruitment guidelines, policies and current talent acquisition technologies (ie Workday).
  • Assist in Talent Acquisition work plans, projects and other initiatives to support business operations
  • Ensure recruitment activity is updated on a regular basis in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to meet recruitment goals & metrics based on established processes
  • Ensure all key HR operational activity is completed in line with policy / process and in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintains key HR processes such as recruitment and development administration, including running reports for month-end HR metrics.
  • Performs other daily responsibilities as assigned and may include acting as first-point of contact for routine queries from employees and managers on human resources policies.

Education and Technical Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education, College diploma or University degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Human Resources experience including full cycle recruiting.
  • Certified or working towards Human Resources Professional designation preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to interpret, all relevant Acts (i.e. employment legislation, Labour Relations Act, Human Rights, WSIB, etc.) and all applicable regulations
  • Proficient and creative with MS office applications, experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Ability to make decisions with confidence and accuracy in a timely manner pertaining to the full cycle recruitment process.
  • Experience using various sourcing techniques, such as social networking, direct initiatives, employee referrals, creative advertising etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, discretion, confidentiality and diplomacy at all times
  • Strong record keeping and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and be a positive team player
  • Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge and understanding through self-study and research
  • Positive attitude with eagerness to embrace change
