As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Campus Talent Acquisition - Western Canada, the Campus Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter) will coordinate and execute all aspects of our North American program in order to attract and hire the right high-quality talent for the organization.

You are agile, technically strong in high volume full-cycle campus recruitment and equally comfortable talking to business leaders to understand requirements, screening resumes, managing requisitions, coordinating campus events, and presenting to students. You are a dynamic presenter, skilled influencer, passionate about students and up for a challenge that involves rolling up your sleeves with all aspects of campus recruitment. You are excited about helping build a consistent North American campus process and candidate experience.

This position location is Vancouver, British Columbia on a contract basis.

Summary

The Campus Recruiter implements and executes the recruiting strategy, providing high volume full-cycle recruiting support across North American. This role will handle a variety of recruiting activities including high volumes of candidate and data management, organizing interviews, managing the candidate experience and supporting pipeline programs such as returning students, internal referrals and scholarship recipient candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, educational institutions and the business
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to establish a tailored recruiting approach at designated school(s) to achieve skills requirements
  • Build relationships with identified schools with professionals in career centres and program of study
  • Leverage campus recruiting knowledge, recruitment results and competitive market intelligence to drive process and influence key internal stakeholders on recruitment activities and programs
  • Campus recruiting focuses on early identification of candidates in their academic journey through coop and internship through to full-time opportunities after graduation
  • Coordinates logistics and attends campus events including career fairs, classroom presentations, conferences and interview sessions including but not limited to:
  • Coordinate dates, venues, time, registration
  • Pack shipments of necessary materials and ship or bring to events
  • Coordinate the availability of swag, banners, and more for each event
  • Schedule business participants (Campus Engagement Ambassadors) and train on accountabilities and message
  • Attend and present at campus events
  • Track candidates and coordinate follow up campaign
  • Process payment of invoices related to college recruiting and contribute to budget tracking and expense management.
  • Serve as a \xe2\x80\x9cBrand Ambassador\xe2\x80\x9d to expand our internal and external footprint to build the Hatch Brand through social media and other channels
  • Works with key internal and external business partners to drive posting, email and social campaigns.
  • Execution of full life-cycle campus recruiting for Hatch including by not limited to:
  • Post positions to appropriate schools and sources
  • Screen and assess candidates
  • Generate candidate packages for review by hiring managers
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
  • Generate interview packages for hiring managers
  • Conduct reference checks through our third-party provider
  • Manage the offer letter process including drafting and sending offer letters
  • Maintain all relevant applicant and interview data in our ATS (SuccessFactors)
  • Uses technology to streamline and manage the application process to enhance candidate experience
  • Execution of programs and initiates to help engage coop and interns and graduate hires
  • Help manage coop engagement initiatives and schedules including organizing learning and social activities such as lunch and learns and the student showcase
  • Collects interview feedback from hiring managers and deliver to candidates and update the system
  • Surveys hiring managers on student performance during coop work terms and provides performance feedback on graduate hires after 6 months of employment
  • Survey coop students within 1 month of the end on the contract period and graduate hires at the 6-month mark.
  • Tabulate survey results and present to management with suggestions for improvements
  • Reporting and Metrics
  • Maintains the integrity of data in the ATS and produces recruiting and hiring activity reports for management
Requirements:

Education and Experience
  • 6 months to 2 years of full cycle, high-volume campus recruitment experience; preferably for engineering or technical graduates.
  • College or university degree in Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Has access to a car and is available and comfortable with highway driving within British Columbia.

  • Proven ability to manage high volume campus recruitment in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Able to handle and manage conflicting priorities with high attention to detail, accuracy, follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships and rapport quickly and deliver outstanding internal and external customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy to maintain data integrity
  • Excellent influencing skills adept at follow-up and follow-through to maintain process flow and candidate experience.
  • Strong commitment to efficiency and quality results

  • Maintain discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent technology skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ATS (e.g. SuccessFactors), videoconferencing technology (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)
