PCC is looking for a summer student to join our Duvernay Production Engineering Team.
Reporting to the Production Engineering Lead, you will support the Production Engineering team and have an opportunity to learn about the shale gas industry while assisting in the production and operation of the Duvernay shale gas asset.
This position is based out of our Calgary head office and is a four-month term starting May 2023. Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
Accountabilities


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Check the well data in Wellview and other sources, collect suspicious information and correct if needed
  • Help to collect all well related data including but not limited to wells drilling, completion, production history as well as wellbore tubular and well head information
  • Build a master table for wells
  • Under Production Engineer\xe2\x80\x99s supervision, establish a daily production surveillance tool that can automatically identify off-track production wells for production optimization purpose
  • Help to establish well documents for all the wells
  • Other duties, as required

Qualifications
  • Completion of a minimum of 3rd year Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Microsoft Office, Teams
  • Preferred software: Power BI, Macro of Excel
  • Cygnet, Wellview, Harmony would be an asset
  • A general understanding of unconventional production engineering
  • Programming experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Confident, detail orientated and enthusiastic team player
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities

  • Legally able to work in Canada
