Qualifications:
Essential:
Post secondary education in Data Analysis, Business Administration, Municipal Administration or Legal Administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience in complex data analytics may be considered
Extensive experience in complex data management, including collecting, compiling, and tracking large amounts of data
Experience interpreting and applying guidelines, policies, and procedures
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook Word, and Excel or compatible programs
Excellent written communication skills for the purpose of drafting, reviewing, and editing correspondence, including letters, memos and reports
Strong verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and professionally with a broad range of staff members, clients, stakeholders and the general public
Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize work, and meet strict and sometimes competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with team members, clients, and the general public
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desired: Experience in legal administration
Duties:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Subdivision Clerk supports the Community Planning Branch Regional Hub in subdivision processing, assisting Planners to meet statutory timelines and deliver planning services efficiently and effectively. The Clerk is responsible for processing subdivision applications and planning bylaws in the Community Planning Services (CPS) database. This position maintains zoning bylaws in the Provincial SharePoint site and office electronic bylaw records. The Clerk assists municipalities and planning districts in navigating the subdivision process, and assists the Planners on matters pertaining to the application and maintenance of zoning bylaws, development plans, and associated amendments.
