Founded in 1979, Columbia International College (CIC) is the largest boarding high school in Canada. During our 44 years of history, parents from over 120 countries have placed their children in CIC\xe2\x80\x99 care. CIC offers the Total Care Education System to support students to achieve their goal of getting into a post-secondary institution of their choice. Our Total Care Education provides services that can support international students to meet their Academic, Social, Emotional and Physical needs. The Student Services Officer reports directly to the Student Services Manager and is responsible for representing Columbia International College with students, parents and agents. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as a point of contact for students, parents, agents and school
- Co-ordinate communications between students, parents, agents and school
- Provide assistance and advice to students on learning and culture adaptation
- Assist with event planning and implantation for various events throughout the year (placement tests, orientation, open house, delegation visits, graduation ceremony etc.)
- Conduct in-person or virtual campus tours
- Assist with marketing activities
- Assist in the planning, promotion, coordination, and implementation of the Summer Camp or Short-Term programs
- Liaise with third party vendors when necessary
- Other duties to be assigned by the Student Services Manager
- Bachelor\'s degree
- Experience in Canadian education system
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficiency in a second language is an asset
- Regular business hours
- Occasional weekends and evenings
