Sr. Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator (Manager in waiting)
Osella Technologies is a manufacturer of automated assembly equipment primarily for the automotive sector. An increased volume of business requires additional staff for Purchasing and Office Administration working out of the main office located at 2155 Blackacre in Oldcastle (Windsor) Ontario.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and working with the VP of Finance. The position requires previous experience relating to our industry and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced technology-driven environment. The right candidate will join a group of dedicated staff where the expectation and culture is that of a team oriented approach towards work.
Position Responsibilities
- Procurement of products used in the assembly of advanced automation equipment.
- Execution of Purchase Orders through our ERP software and updates to project specific BOM's
- Ensure on time delivery of goods through monitoring of order status with vendors
-Work with vendors and Osella staff to provide timely solutions through materials deviations as needed
- Customs documents for international travel of staff.
- Brokerage documents for the importation and export of goods.
Qualifications
- 10 years minimum of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the Automotive Tooling segment.
- A base level of electrical, mechanical and controls product knowledge.
- Working knowledge of the local vendor base utilized by Automation manufacturers and integrators.
- Expertise and proficiency regarding the RFQ process, payment and shipping terms.
- Post-secondary education not a requirement but rather relevant experience, an open mind, a professional attitude and demeanor along with a willingness to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior ERP experience is a plus, working knowledge and proficiency of MS Office is required.
- Previous experience with CBSA, US CBP and ACE E-manifest filings would be an asset.
