Join Amazon Ad Sales to lead the product solutions that enable us to solve this through technology and automation.

Amazon Ad Sales Team seeks an experienced product manager to drive the roadmap and prioritization of software solutions that enable account teams to identify, curate, and deliver the most effective ad strategies to advertisers and agencies. This product leader will work with Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, and UX teams to create solutions that allow account teams to mine relevant insights and account activity, then compile many data points into a succinct new revenue opportunity. They will also think end to end about user workflows to answer not just "what" but "how" opportunities should be identified and delivered to advertisers and agencies. This product leader will partner with data science on the detection of signals that predict success to focus a large distributed sales organization on proven ad strategies. This leader will also determine the appropriate impact tracking and attribution of recommendations to determine downstream impact.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the product mission to deliver solutions that automate processes, enhance visibility to revenue opportunities, and provide the controls that effectively coach advertisers into new growth areas
  • Partner with engineering teams to deliver the creation and evolution of workflows that prompt Pitch creation to successfully move users through different stages of the experience
  • Partner closely with science and business intelligence to determine the appropriate signals and metrics that inform Pitch creation, quality and impact
  • Create, prioritize and plan the product roadmap and releases. Use high judgement to make critical trade-offs, balancing both business requirements and technological trade-offs
  • Define product requirements through laser focus on the customer; effectively translate customer needs into solutions that solve problems
  • Create and continually inspect system and adoption metrics to assess product health and determine improvement opportunities
  • Own and drive thought leadership that set the product's 3-year vision, and evolution of value to the customer and business
This leader will work closely with teams across Amazon Advertising to deliver technology solutions, and leverage data and analytics to solve critical business challenges. The successful candidate will work regularly with senior leadership across technical and non-technical teams to define and inform strategic decisions that define a growing, increasingly impactful business.
This leader is an analytical thinker, using input and output metrics to scope long term system solutions and enhancements. This position requires you to think big toward industry-changing, potentially disruptive solutions that are impactful, effective and scalable. The successful candidate will cultivate long-term innovation for the customer, but have a strong understanding of the appropriate trade-offs between speed and perfection, and can pivot quickly through iterative change. they must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytic talent, delivery focus and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical field or Bachelor's Degree with equivalent technical experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience translating customer feedback to technical product requirement for Software Engineers.
  • Experience owning product vision, roadmap, and trade-off decisions.
  • Ability to influence others without formal authority.
  • Ability to identify problems early and drive resolution through excellent problem solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in digital advertising technology.
  • Previous product ownership in mining data to extract customer recommendations.
  • Experience writing and/or editing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
