Overview


We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with a strong background in kitchen management and food service. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent culinary expertise, and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonality in offerings. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation. Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory control and ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels. Coordinate catering services for events and banquets, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours. Assist in managing kitchen budgets and cost control measures to maximize profitability.

Experience



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings. Strong background in food service management, including menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations. Experience supervising staff and managing teams effectively in a culinary environment. Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus, along with banquet experience for catering events. Excellent cooking skills with knowledge of various cuisines and techniques; culinary degree preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of food handling procedures, safety regulations, and sanitation practices within the food industry. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
