As ATB\xe2\x80\x99s next Social Media Manager, you will be an important contributor in our Digital Center of Expertise (DCoE). Reporting to the Director of Digital Channels within Culture, Communications and Marketing (CC&M), this role will work in partnership with the Social Media Coordinator, as well as digital strategists, marketing experts, content producers, writers and designers to coordinate and execute optimized programs and campaigns supporting a variety of business objectives. The successful candidate will have an intuitive understanding of social media content and strategy, community management, listening and reporting, as well as an up-to-the-minute feel for major platforms based on recent first-hand experience working with active, growing social channels, most likely within a digital publishing or brand environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate digital marketing and content strategies into social media marketing plans that drive engagement, website traffic and build the ATB brand.
  • Work with digital strategists and other marketers to create holistic marketing plans including a variety of digital channel activations
  • Create and execute social media posts. This will include working with writers, designers, and strategists, as well as writing social copy, curating content, and basic graphic design, where applicable.
  • Drive growth of our social media audiences, with a focus on effective engagement of these audiences
  • Provide leadership within the social media, digital channels and CC&M teams
  • Actively collaborate and engage with social media accounts of ATB ambassadors, partners, stakeholders, and community members.
  • Provide guidance to the social media response team in regards to monitoring and responding to direct messages, mentions, hashtags, comments, etc. Follow protocols in monitoring for negative feedback and escalating as applicable.
  • Identify and share timely and relevant ATB partner, stakeholder, and key community member content to be shared from ATB\xe2\x80\x99s social media channels.
  • Use Social Media Marketing tools to build social media reports and listening projects as required.
  • Provide insight on audience preferences, content performance, opportunities and more.
  • Acquire and track permissions for user generated content (UGC) from ATB Ambassadors, partners, stakeholders, and key community members.
  • Assist in developing optimal posting schedules considering campaign, client engagement, and social media metrics.
  • Stay abreast of the latest and emerging trends in social media and performance marketing.
  • In collaboration with the Social Media Coordinator, enable other teams to use social media publishing, reporting, and listening in a cohesive and effective way.
  • Provide support in additional digital marketing initiatives as required.

  • Understanding of social media\xe2\x80\x99s role within the digital marketing mix.
  • Effective storyteller, with an understanding and appreciation of specific audience needs.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of all relevant social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat and other emerging platforms.
  • Ensure the brand voice and personality is communicated consistently across all social media channels.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Requirements
  • Relevant post-secondary education.
  • 5-7 years experience coordinating social media channels and executing social media campaigns.
  • Experience creating social media content and engaging on social media in a manner that aligns with an organization\'s brand voice, tone, and identity.
  • Experience utilizing social media management tools. (e.g. Emplifi, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
  • Additional digital marketing skills (web, SEO, email etc.) considered an asset.
