Social Impact Specialist (12-month contract)

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.

Make a difference on our communications team as a Social Impact Specialist!

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Lead the planning and tactical execution of social impact events, including control of budget, event planning, and relationship management with external partners
• Support stores and corporate teams by providing counsel on how to engage in their local communities through donations and employee volunteerism
• Collaborate with the team and support the execution of Best Buy\xe2\x80\x99s social impact national initiatives including grants, scholarships, and ongoing community programs
• Identify opportunities to promote social impact initiatives through internal, PR, social media and marketing channels to build awareness and drive employee engagement
• Measure the impact of your programs
• Work closely with key stakeholders to execute major campaigns and ad hoc donation requests and events

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• 4+ years of communications or project management experience in a deadline driven, multi- stakeholder, fast paced environment
• Business experience, collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Leadership and people management experience
• Event planning and budget management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills
