M-F 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 35 hours/week

Salary Range

: $50,000 to $55,000 annually

EmployAbilities is currently recruiting to fill one (1) full-time Skills Facilitator position.

EmployAbilities assists clients with disabilities and medical conditions to enable them to overcome employment barriers and receive the support they need to attain and retain work.

Reporting to the Program Supervisor, this position is responsible for the design and delivery of interactive, accessible training sessions to help persons with disabilities develop the essential workplace and job-specific skills needed for sustainable employment. This role works closely with the Program Team to tailor training to individual learning styles, abilities, and career goals.

Your Responsibilities:



Demonstrate the Agency values of compassion, collaboration, innovation, integrity and inclusiveness. Facilitate employment readiness and personal development workshops to individuals with disabilities/medical conditions. Provide individualized assistance and support to clients as required and follow up with clients who are experiencing difficulty. Provide regular feedback on participants' progress to Employment Facilitators and Service Navigators. Recommend additional instructional requirements and the most appropriate means of delivery. Develop and prepare creative instructional materials according to the needs of clients. Represent the agency in a professional manner at all times. Create and compile workshop evaluations and results. Timely and accurate data entry into the agency data base. Assist with updating/revising client resumes, conduct mock interviews, provide job search supports.

Your Qualifications:



Diploma/Certificate in Human Services, Office Administration, or related field. Related post secondary education/ certification in facilitation. 2 years previous experience working with persons with disabilities or barriers to employment or other at-risk populations Experience in Administration, facilitation, and program inquiries. Experience developing resumes & cover letters, troubleshooting client technology issues Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Virtual Meeting platforms (Skype, Zoom, Teams Google meet etc.). Knowledge of community resources, programs, and services is an asset. Clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector check.
