Do you love turning everyday moments into learning wins? At Hope Endoors, our Life Skills and Social Skills Facilitator designs and delivers engaging experiences for neurodivergent young adults. You'll lead daily sessions and also take point on planning and adapting our curriculum so activities reflect each person's goals, strengths, and interests. You'll join a supportive team that values inclusion, creativity, and dignity in every interaction.
What You'll Do
Plan and lead meaningful activities
in life skills (for example: cooking, personal hygiene, emotional regulation, arts and crafts, community safety, physical activity, and drama), tailoring content to participant needs and interests.
Own the weekly planning cycle,
preparing lesson outlines and activity plans, and contributing to the monthly program calendar with the team.
Facilitate side-by-side,
modelling engagement, offering support, and nurturing a positive, inclusive group vibe.
Differentiate and adapt lessons
using Universal Design for Learning (UDL), visual supports, and trauma-informed approaches so everyone can participate and succeed.
Build social skills
by creating opportunities for communication, teamwork, and connection through both structured and free-choice activities.
Support smooth transitions
and respond to dysregulation with calm, respectful, and proactive strategies.
Document daily programming,
track progress, and assist with basic assessments and planning.
Coach students and volunteers
during sessions so they understand how to support neurodivergent participants effectively and respectfully.
Review and improve,
helping evaluate program effectiveness and suggesting practical enhancements.
Communicate with care
--engage participants, families, and community members professionally, positively, and inclusively.
Uphold health and safety
protocols and participate in specialized training as needed (for example: medication administration or de-escalation).
Pitch in where needed,
performing related duties based on participant and program needs.
What You Bring
Hands-on experience
supporting neurodivergent individuals (Autism, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, or learning disabilities) in community, school, or program settings.
