Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Service Person is primarily responsible for ensuring all deficiencies are repaired at the construction stage allowing the delivery of the home to our client deficient-free to maximize our client's satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities:
Repair deficiencies as instructed by the Site Supervisor and during Pre-PDI process. Repairs include but are not limited to, windows, doors, drywall, paint, trim, back-framing, cabinetry, mechanicals (plumbing, heating, A/C), flooring, insulation, roof, and siding.
Responsible for the care and maintenance of all company owned/rented equipment
including tools and machinery.
Monitor and review related quality assurance inspection reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Ensures compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for
Construction Projects and the Ontario Building Code.
Ensures compliance with the organization's policies and procedures including health
& safety.
Constant communicate with Supervisor regarding deficiencies, organization, cleanup, safety and overall quality of work.
Walk units with inspector to ensure deficiencies are immediately corrected.
Act as Supervisor while the Supervisor is on vacation
In absence of Site Supervisor complete framing inspections, pre-drywall inspections and walkthrough with homeowners.
Install window wells, build landings, garage stairs, frame basement
walls, lay patio stones.
Mark grades on foundations, install below grade insuIations/
PDI sign-off with customers.
30 day lists completion
Valid driver's license with a clean abstract and insurable.
Site Service person is responsible for all tasks associated with labourer and skilled
labourer.
Floor Checks
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Education/Training:
Secondary School Diploma
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
WHMIS, Fall Protection and tool/equipment training with valid record of training
Experience & Skills:
3-5 years experience in the construction service field
Extensive knowledge in new residential construction and its principles including industry best practices.
Strong technical skills including but not limited to framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall and painting skills.
ability to produce quality work within stated deadlines
ability to trouble shoot and repair required challenges within the building structure
Customer service skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize, plan, communicate and follow up effectively
Ability to own and operate hand/power tools.
Internal: Ability to interact with management including Construction. Daily interaction with site staff and health and safety department.
External: Regular contact with homeowners, contractors, suppliers and potential clients.
Effort:
Work normally requires a high level of physical effort.
Ability to consistency lift 40Ib without assistance
Work normally requires a moderate level of mental effort in organizing, planning and
communicating, and problem solving amidst constant interruptions and distractions.
Work normally requires a high level of visual effort in operating hand/power tools and in evaluating details.
Working Conditions:
Generally works in an outdoor environment 50% of the time
Works in an indoor house environment 50% of the time.
Overtime as required.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
