BOXX Modular (Canada) rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. We work with our customers to design and deliver customized solutions, and provide additional services such as delivery and installation, furniture rentals and other add-ons. We have a full-time permanent position for a

Service Technician

to join our Stoney Creek Branch in Ontario.



The role is responsible for cleaning, maintenance and repair to ensure that our Modular fleet is in optimal condition for our customers. The ideal candidate will be a well- rounded general contractor or handyman, with experience in areas such as flooring, window and wall repairs and exterior siding.

Duties & Responsibilities

Complete general labor type duties including cleaning, painting and moving units in the yard Loading/Unloading of decks, ramps, furniture and other items as needed Assisting with managing warehouse inventory & shelving systems for the branch Floor repairs, including tile work Wall building and repairs Installing Kitchenettes, toilets, and sinks Exterior Steel Siding Work Fitting and Installing Windows, Doors, Molding's and Hardware Cleaning of Modular Units Performing Yard/shop maintenance and clean up Material handling General, Rough and Finish Carpentry, and Framing Assisting with planning for upcoming projects Other duties as assigned

Qualification:

2-4 years of general laborer experience and/or in general maintenance Modular or trailer/RV experience would be an asset Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple priorities and managing deadlines Positive attitude, with strong work ethic and team player Problem solving abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to travel to customer site on occasion within the local service area Fall protection, First Aid Certification and WHMIS an asset Forklift ticket an asset Able to pass a pre-employment criminal records check and Drug and Alcohol Testing Comfortable using a tablet Valid Driver's license and clean driving abstract is required

Physical Requirements :

Comfortable with working outdoors in all weather Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement
