Services CoordinatorAre you an experienced Program Coordinator looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to advance your skills and career in a great work environment while working on Inuit specific exciting projects?If you are an ambitious, multitasking go-getter able to thrive in the fast-paced environment and inspire our team members to keep them focused and running smoothly, we have the perfect job for you!Role Summary Reporting to the Executive Director, the Services Coordinator manages the day to day operations of our drop in days, laundry facility and staff to facilitate the timely and accurate execution of Tunngasugit Inc's project work plan for our Drop In services as well as strong advocacy for our community members.Requirements

  • Must be an Inuit beneficiary.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Inuktitut and English is an asset.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the organization and facilitation of events, meetings, workshops etc.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate programming for all ages.
  • Have knowledge of and develop partnerships with other community-based organizations that enhance Inuit programs.
  • Prepare monthly reports and event calendars.
  • Prepare annual work plans, budgets and reports.
  • Ability to communicate wIth supervisor regularly.
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Must be able to work effectively independently and as a member of teams.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, some evenings and weekends.
  • Must provide a current criminal record check and adult and child abuse registry checks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and exceptional planning and implementation abilities.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Current resident of Winnipeg, MB or surrounding area.
Experience
  • Experience in working with Inuit and elders
  • Experience coordinating and planning events
  • High-school diploma
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field will be considered an asset
