The TELUS Industry Solutions team is a dynamic, high-performance team that fuels the engine that drives the overall product strategy and brings innovative new solution capabilities to market.

In partnership with the Industry Solutions team members and our partners across the organization, the Business Enablement team leverages best practices, collaboration, and thought leadership to drive tactical planning and execution of strategic programs, establish strong operational management methodology and support the overall tracking and management of business results - with a laser focus on improving organizational effectiveness.

As a Senior Strategy Manager you support TELUS Industry Solutions to mobilize our portfolio strategies to meet the evolving technology needs of our business customers. The Business Enablement team collaborates with Product & Portfolio Directors on a variety of activities including annual planning, strategic projects & priorities, development of strategic presentation as well as the running of the business operations including results management, reporting, employee engagement & process improvement programs. This team is at the center of enabling the Industry Solutions team to optimize how we work together to deliver activities for TELUS Business Solutions and you play a vital role in providing strategic thinking as well as the responsibility to execute on plan.

Here's how

  • Help develop presentations on strategy, roadmaps, GTM and other topics for various TBS audiences (all levels of management)
  • Stay informed about customer needs and evolving market trends.
  • Translate Industry Solutions strategy into integrated tactical plans - including governance, metrics, reporting and integrated reporting.
  • Lead the coordination of annual planning and support teams with consolidation of plans, interlock and alignment against quarterly priorities and goals
  • Support business cases reviews, business priorities and make recommendations to the leadership team for optimal investment and resource allocations.
  • Performance measurement and update on progress. Establish a performance management framework that aligns metrics/KPIs to our broader medium to long term strategy. Update the leadership team on product team performance, roadblocks, and suggestive improvements.
  • Tactical analysis - in our fast changing business, you will be required to deep dive into new areas, learn complexities, present analysis/insight to the leadership team to support execution of plans.
Qualifications

What you bring
  • A curious and tenacious nature. You are a self-starter motivated by learning something new every day and call-out what does not add up (question status quo).
  • Ability to present complex concepts to senior leaders. You are able to look at a problem from 20,000 feet and see its macro impact and at the same time be able to dig into detailed data to develop your understanding at a micro level.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration. The team is constantly in conversation with key organizational stakeholders and leaders , you are expected to have excellent presentation skills, confidence in your analysis and open minded approach to influence decision making.
  • A passion for results measurement, networking and strategic thinking. You enjoy digging into data, reaching out to subject matter experts, obtaining the voice of the customer and suggesting better ways of doing business.
Great-to-haves
  • University degree
  • 7-10 years of equivalent experience in product management strategy or execution
  • Broad knowledge of IT and telecommunication industry
  • Demonstrate very strong knowledge of business analytics
  • Consulting skills and reporting/presentation
  • Influence and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to effectively prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Bilingual (English and French) an asset
