As a member of the SPOR (Strategy for Patient Oriented Research) Support Unit team, the Research Professional Senior will be responsible for the development and implementation of a research project focusing on youth mental health. The project will showcase how Yukon\'s SPOR Unit can support meaningful health research in the territory. You will lead the project, which will include collaborating with First Nations to develop research agreements; engaging People with Lived Experience (PWLE); developing, implementing, and evaluating appropriate programs geared towards youth.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree preferably at the PhD level in a relevant health field, combined with experience in the mental health domain, gained in an appropriate scientific/technical/professional environment such as a university, research institute, or government department. A combination of relevant post-secondary experience and work-related experience in mental health and wellness could be considered equivalent, or Indigenous knowledge keeper of equivalent level as recognized by their community.

Conditions of employment include a valid Driver\'s License, RCMP Vulnerable Sector check, Standard First Aid & CPR (minimum), or equivalent and the ability to occasionally travel to field locations, Yukon communities, and conferences.
