What You'll Be Doing

Fusion is responsible for protecting our clients and our bank by holistically combatting financial crime threats which cross multiple domains including: Corporate Security, Information Security and Fraud. By integrating and analyzing cross-pillar intelligence and data, Fusion develops a more accurate picture of threats and coordinates protective actions to mitigate threats, reduce loss and better enable our clients' ambitions to become a reality.

As part of CIBC's Fusion team, we are looking for someone to manage the communications provided to CIBC Senior Executives on incidents managed by the Fusion team, with the key outcomes of improving leadership's ability to make decisions and generate greater understanding of incidents affecting the interests of CIBC.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Fusion Response. Your exposure and responsibility to work with all fusion teams and CIBC executive leadership will help to increase strong partnerships, support the Fusion value proposition and bring greater awareness of incident management to the organization.

How You'll Succeed

Fusion incident communication frameworks and protocols: Refine and execute against Fusion communication frameworks and protocols to provide early notification and ongoing updates to CIBC Executives on Fusion-managed incidents. Convert technical incident details into polished and easily consumed communications for broad, leadership-based audiences across CIBC.

Partner with relevant teams: Develop core Fusion messaging and promotional details for internal and external consumption. Improve and maintain all Communication guidance and educate Fusion teams on refining messaging and understanding the needs of core audiences. Develop communication practices and tools for Fusion stakeholders that will result in a reduction in response time during incident coordination.

Monitor and stay current on developing news items and trends that may impact CIBC: Maintain an understanding of CIBC businesses and products, keep current with key business initiatives. Perform on-call duties for Fusion incident response during off-hours as part of CIBC's incident and event management process.

Who You Are

You can demonstrate experience in: Highly developed communication skills, with well-developed written and presentation capabilities, and have the ability to convey complex information and concepts in understandable terms within short timelines. Pay close attention to detail and can review and proof copy revisions. Experience working with incident response and physical security, technical cyber, or fraud teams would be an asset. Experience directly or indirectly leading, overseeing and managing a team or group(s) of teams.

You act with urgency and deliver effectively under tight timelines: Meet business objectives by managing relationships and working effectively with internal and external partners including Information Security, Corporate Security, Fraud, and other lines of business and partners and vendors.

You possess excellent organizational skills: including the ability to present options in business terms to both IT and business staff including executives. You are able to work in a fast-paced, operations centre. Capable and available to support incident management in a 24/7 environment

You have knowledge of: Industry standard security best practices for information security, cyber security operations, physical security, and/or fraud management would be an asset. Knowledge of business and technology standards would also be an asset
