JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Planning & Senior Risk Officer, the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is the lead program expert and manager responsible for the following programs:
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Legislative Compliance
Fraud Risk Management
Corporate Sustainability
Using a depth of knowledge and experience in risk identification, risk evaluation, risk response, and risk monitoring and reporting, you will independently manage these programs and associated policies and procedures ensuring alignment with the corporate strategic and business plan, as well as performance measures. As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for a total risk management program, driving initiatives and a corporate vision to ensure AGLC effectively measures strategic, enterprise, and operational risks and takes proactive measures to mitigate risk.
Key areas of responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Lead the maturation of the Enterprise Risk Management and Legislative Compliance program for AGLC; as well as lead engagement across the organization to increase awareness and transparency of corporate risk. Ensure leadership buy-in by creating risk networks to help aid in the day-to-day operational decisions related to achievement of business and strategic plans.
Lead the maturation of the Fraud Risk Management program for the AGLC ensuring the Fraud Risk Management Framework is integrated with the ERM Framework and is effectively embedded and communicated across AGLC. Collaborate with other lines of business to ensure appropriate mitigation of fraud risks.
Develop and implement a Corporate Sustainability program for the AGLC. As the corporate expert, you will serve as the central contact on sustainability topics for internal and external stakeholders; and work with divisional leadership to develop responsible corporate policies, sustainability risk and opportunity appraisal tools and appropriate monitoring and reporting framework.
Provide leadership to a team of individuals and fosters a positive working environment that supports communication, collaboration, and inclusion while maintaining high performance and well engaged staff.
As the corporate lead in ERM, the Senior Manager will demonstrate a high level of competency in systems thinking, relationship management, adaptability, agility, and accountability to influence and guide divisional resources related to these programs while also managing a small team of ERM professionals. This includes reporting updates to Senior Leadership, Executive Leadership and the Audit & Finance Committee.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum of a University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field,
Minimum 5 years of progressive risk management, strategic/business management, project management and/or accounting/financial experience in a large complex organization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for facilitating discussions, negotiating solutions, delivering presentations and preparing audience centric written material

Designation or certification related to risk management:
Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM)
Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)
Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA)
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
Professional accounting designation and/or internal audit designation
Completion of courses in strategic management and decision making or project management
