Job Summary

The Senior Director of Innovation is responsible for providing leadership and direction to Compass Group Canada. This individual will lead the innovation research and development efforts across the organization. They will partner with key business leaders to identify opportunities, and challenge traditional approaches to solving problems by presenting innovative solutions. They understand the Hospitality industry and use their expertise in innovation to promote the adoption of technology.

• Develop a high performing team
• Stay current on emerging trends and technologies, partnering with various business teams to identify opportunities to deliver solutions
• Growing the adoption of innovations across the business
• Recognize promising ideas and find ways to introduce them into all of our sectors such as: Senior Living, Acute Care, Education, Business & Industry, etc.
• Develop strategic initiatives that will drive sustainable growth, sales, and profitability year over year
• Lead the planning, budgeting, development, selection, and implementation of new strategies to ensure smooth operational roll out
• Establish partnership opportunities with start-up and established firms
• Establishes high levels of accountability and performance management underpinned by a winning and collaborative culture

• 10+ years of relevant work experience, with a deep understanding of hospitality operations
• A bias for action
• An entrepreneurial mindset to drive change and make an impact
• Energetic, curious, continuous learner with superior analytical/strategic thinking skills,
• Ability to establish contacts and credibility with senior level management decision makers
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop and performance manage a team
• Experience developing stakeholder and client partnerships
• Good financial acumen and customer focused approach
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated strength in planning and organization, goal achievement, urgency & self-starting capabilities
