Job Title Senior Director, Enterprise Efficiency




































Senior Director, Enterprise Efficiency This role\xe2\x80\x99s mandate is responsible for driving and integrating RBC\xe2\x80\x99s strategic efficiency efforts across the enterprise to enhance cost transparency and free up capacity for future strategic investment. Accountable for leading a team of Directors and Engagement Managers and for the day to day leadership and direction of the program and for the advisory and facilitation of the strategic productivity and efficiency initiatives of varying size, complexity and type (e.g. zero base budgeting, productivity and cost efficiency, horizontal opportunity development) across the team. This role will leverage and partner with business and function senior leaders and executives to ensure the successful integration, implementation and adoption of efficiency and productivity initiatives across the enterprise. Success is delivering enterprise-wide transformational and sustained change, based on achieving established productivity program goals and program leadership. What will you do? Initiative Leadership & Engagement:

  • Accountable for leading a team of Directors and Engagement Managers and shaping a productivity and efficiency mindset and enabling zero basing expertise across the enterprise.
  • Accountable for the leadership and delivery of the strategic efficiency and productivity initiatives and led by the EE Advisory Team and with support from business / function partners from across the enterprise.
  • Maintains deep understanding of the enterprise efficiency initiatives portfolio: works closely with business / function partners to understand assigned initiatives, promote input/updates into Planview, reviews benefit profiles ensuring initiatives are mobilizing, and proactively engages monthly dashboard socialization/review.
  • Builds consensus with differing views in a constructive manner and applies appropriate escalation practices.
  • Recognizes business complexity and make trade-off decisions to prioritize appropriate actions to achieve work stream (productivity and efficiency) objectives.
  • Conducts comprehensive analysis using analytical frameworks, approaches, tools and methodologies and develops robust recommendations.
Advisory & Planning:
  • Accountable for planning, oversight and maintaining pace of Enterprise Efficiency Program including:
  • Proactively chairs the monthly PEC meeting supporting governance and oversight of Program including agenda management
  • Leads weekly Program review and EE Quarterly Business Reviews with Program Executives including agenda management
  • Accountable for measurement and tracking of program productivity metrics and annual program targets, supports business / functions with productivity metric development and embedding productivity into management routines, and works closely with Finance to ensure linkage to PARs/annual business plans/waterfalls.
Management:
  • Leads team with high integrity & ability to inspire others.
  • Be self-motivated and leverage teams across the enterprise when needed.
  • Leverages and supports RBC Leadership Model; ensures EE employees understand RBC\xe2\x80\x99s vision and supports/reinforces targeted behaviours that contribute to RBC goals.
  • Provides focus and clarity in establishing team/individual goals, driving performance management and supporting personal development and career development across team.
Skills:
  • Experience in large transformational initiatives/programs focused on cost efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement.
  • Proven skills in story boarding and developing meeting materials used in executive-level decision making.
  • Experience in Financial Management, Analysis and Planning.
  • Experience in RBC PAR process and annual business planning.
  • Proven experience in attracting and developing high performing talent and highly engaged teams.
  • Nice to have: Strategy or consulting experience in a Consulting Management, Financial Services, or Entrepreneurial environment, or other comparative experience.
