Senior Director, Enterprise Implementation and Support, Brampton, ON

Reporting to the VP, Store and Colleague Solutions, and acting as a key member of the Store and Colleague Technology leadership team, the Senior Director, Enterprise Implementation & Support will be responsible for all hardware technology and 24/7 field support for the Loblaw Enterprise. The main focus will be improving asset management, managing asset lifecycle, improving operational efficiency and reducing cost across our enterprise environment.

In collaboration with application and infrastructure teams, store operations and vendor partners, this role will be responsible for ensuring plans are well structured, inclusive of industry standard processes, financially comprehensive and enable the desired business, store, and colleague experience. The scope of the role is all technology across the Loblaw network (2500 stores, 35 distribution centres and 10 office locations).

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic \xe2\x80\x93 Looking to the Future

Develop overall three year and annual strategic technology delivery plan for the hardware implementation and services portfolio

Manage physical hardware components and end point management platforms with a forward-looking vision

Provide guidance on and lead discussions internally within Loblaw Technology & Analytics and with business partners to help drive the optimization, modernization, and simplification of enterprise hardware

Advocate for the adoption, business alignment, and improvement of all technology End User Services processes and activities based on enterprise standard methodologies

Identify and resolve systemic issues to reduce support calls

Stay abreast of relevant innovation and trends in retail technology, and build relationships with other non-competitive retailers and financial services organizations to understand and demonstrate the capabilities they are deploying

Continuously drive cost efficiencies and operational efficiencies through automation and digitization

Build a strong and trusting relationship with their business partners

Work with the business and technology leadership teams to define and adhere to a clear engagement model and decision framework to enable success

Provide leadership to ensure a hard-working implementation and support team

Build a model that transforms and improves current services and operations, that drives innovation, scalability, simplification, and improves the customer experience while enabling efficiency and modernization

Tactical \xe2\x80\x93 Leading the Day to Day

National / 24x7 preventative and reactive support for all divisions / banners (2500 retail locations nationally) and corporate colleagues

Develop and complete multi-year hardware refresh strategy with robust metrics that allow for data-based decision making

Measure and monitor new hardware rollouts against expected success metrics

Ensure assets are leveraged to improve financial and operational stability

Ensure endpoints are on a regular OS update governance

Collaborate with product families and operations to implement Technology funded projects across all divisions

Deployment of hardware refreshes, based on data driven strategic hardware refresh plans

Collaborate with Real Estate and Operations on technology requirements for new store builds and renovations

Develop and deploy preventative maintenance programs

Leadership

Provide leadership to ensure a successful technology team with appropriate skills and capacity required to enable technology strategy

Be a coach, mentor, and role model for members of the Technology and Analytics team to help grow our talent.

Demonstrate credibility through powerful strategies

Vendor Management

Experience with vendor performance management, including development and monitoring of SOWs and deliverables, SLA compliance, and general vendor relationship management

Work with the Technology and Analytics leadership team to define and mature a strategy and partnership model for external service providers

Strong management of external vendors and partners

Financial Management

Understand and implement financial standard processes ensuring reliable and practical financial plans for the portfolio

Implement cost improvement initiatives, and strong governance.

Focus on both the short and long-term to ensure the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial success

Strong business case development and benefits tracking strategies, to ensure the team stays on budget throughout the year

Role Requirements:

A leader in the Technology field

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent subject area

Leadership capabilities that cultivate a hard-working operations and delivery teams

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a record of accomplishment of professionalism, innovation, integrity and high energy

Highly desired is a candidate who has experience in a sophisticated matrix environment whereby their success was achieved through a combination of and internal team, and outsourced providers

Quantitatively driven, will understand the value of information, and will use this to drive strategy and tactics. They will be a critical individual with a passion for results and will have the ability to influence and guide the actions of others.

Honest and ethical with unquestionable integrity
