Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for all areas relating to global consolidation and financial reporting (under IFRS). The Senior Corporate Accountant will also assist the Controller with monthly financial analysis, modeling as well as preparation of internal operational report.Location: Vancouver, British Columbia.What will you do?

  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidated financial results are closed and reported on a timely basis under IFRS.
  • Preparation and review of schedules, working papers, and analysis to support monthly full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
  • Assist the Controller with:
  • Preparing the monthly budget variance analysis for internal reporting.
  • Developing and implementing new IFRS standards and preparing technical accounting memorandum.
  • Managing the group of entities' accounting teams in different regions.
  • Managing the annual external group audit process.
  • Managing all statutory audit process for the group entities.
  • Managing transfer pricing analysis between the group entities.
  • Implementing new processes and controls for enhancing the workflow of the financial results and speeding up the month end closing.
  • Manage revenue accounting and recognition process in line with IFRS 15 and prepare technical analysis.
  • Assist the Finance team with any other ad hoc projects.
What do you need to succeed?
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Canadian CPA designation or successfully passed CFE examination.
  • 3 - 5 years of combined experience in public accounting and industry (full cycle accounting).
  • In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills - meet tight deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
