Greenrock\xe2\x80\x99s Family Office provides fully integrated and customized financial and asset management solutions leveraging best practices in a variety of areas, including investment management, risk management, integrated estate, tax and related planning, family governance and education, and strategic philanthropy. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting, Finance and Investment team. This energetic and high-performing team provides a centre of excellence for services in the disciplines of accounting, treasury management, acquisition and disposition transactions, corporate tax, capital management, investment management, risk management, financial data applications and business solutions. The Senior Corporate Accountant will report to our Vice President, Accounting for the Greenock Family Office.   • Prepare working papers for year-end audits and tax files
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual internal & external reporting
  • Support the compilation of annual consolidated financial statements
  • Facilitate accounting research, issue resolution and disclosure of implications of significant transactions
  • Assist with transaction support analysis for assessing accounting and business implications
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Engage in appropriate cross-training, documentation and resources for key tasks, reports and processes
  • Prepare and review related entity financial statements for compliance and tax reporting
  • Support in the coordination of external auditor requests
  • Account analysis and reconciliation of ledger details to general ledger
  • Respond to transactional accounting questions and resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Liaise with other departments regarding accounting matters
  • Prepare cashflow reports and related analysis
  • Any other duties and/or project as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Accreditation through CPA Canada is a must
  • Minimum five years\' relevant experience
  • Real estate industry or Family Office experience considered an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, client service and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing client needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and foster collaborative relationships
  • Exemplary mathematical and analytical skills
