Senior Corporate Accountant 12 Month Contract Remote

Job Description


We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting, Finance and Investment team. This individual provide services in the disciplines of accounting, treasury management, acquisition and disposition transactions, corporate tax, capital management, investment management, risk management, financial data applications and business solutions.

  • Prepare working papers for year-end audits and tax files
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual internal & external reporting
  • Support the compilation of annual consolidated financial statements
  • Facilitate accounting research, issue resolution and disclosure of implications of significant transactions
  • Assist with transaction support analysis for assessing accounting and business implications
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Engage in appropriate cross-training, documentation and resources for key tasks, reports and processes
  • Prepare and review related entity financial statements for compliance and tax reporting
  • Support in the coordination of external auditor requests

  • Accreditation through CPA Canada is a must
  • Minimum five years\' relevant experience
  • Real estate industry or Family Office experience considered an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, client service and problem-solving skills
