Senior Brand Associate, Media Strategy

Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate, Media Strategy to join our Brand team to support our mass brand campaigns and initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and support on media strategies & execution that drive awareness and consideration for the Capital One Canada brand, working with innovative advertising, media, and PR agency partners. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing integrated media campaigns and an understanding of how brand marketing can drive meaningful business results.

Associates working in the hybrid model are expected to come into the office 3 days a week across Tuesdays and Thursdays, reserving Mondays and Fridays as company-wide virtual days. As was true before the pandemic, expectations of being in the office will be balanced with personal life flexibility.

Responsibilities:

Support and influence the Brand Team\xe2\x80\x99s go-to market media strategy, ultimately shaping how the Capital One brand shows up in Canada

Develop and execute on mass campaigns and associated programming

Act as the primary point of contact with our external media agency and oversee all media-related budgets and contracts, while also ensuring all campaigns are executed flawlessly and on time

Collaborate with internal and external partners on crafting media plans and strategies that effectively and efficiently meet business goals

Continually monitor campaign performance and work with external/internal partners to make actionable optimizations

Work with customer data to identify opportunities and key segments to optimize marketing tests and strategies

Partner with cross-functional teams to develop tests that will inform the optimal way to market our products and services to current and future customers, driving advocacy and sustained engagement

Continue to refine existing brand measurement plans, enabling the team to effectively measure campaign success

Craft storytelling around program results and future strategies to secure buy-in from key stakeholders

Develop reports and recommendations for our campaigns to improve our results and optimize our collateral

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of related experience in a media agency, marketing or brand management role.

Experience in media planning and/or hands-on execution in platforms

Deep understanding of the digital media landscape (display, video, programmatic, paid search, paid social, DOOH, etc.)

Strong analytical background with a data-driven mindset

University or college degree/diploma in media, marketing, business, or related field; OR equivalent professional work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience self-directing and being able to switch between strategic and tactical initiatives regularly

Experience working directly with digital partners to develop and execute initiatives in-platform (ie. Google, Meta, third-party media providers, social media community platforms)

Understanding and experience with traditional media (OOH, radio, etc)

Confidence to ask hard questions and push into uncharted territories \xe2\x80\x93 and not defaulting to the status quo before exploring new paths and quantifying risk / reward

Strong ability to drive right and left brain smarts \xe2\x80\x93 you value creativity but you can also think strategically to action insights.

Continuous self-learner who proactively develops knowledge of the media landscape and stays up to-date with digital trends

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
