Senior Architect - Associate or Principal

THE FIRM
The firm is widely known Ottawa for its design excellence, involved primarily in large private projects: mixed use, low to high rise, and commercial projects. The firm also does feasibility and master planning. Their ideal candidate has front end experience dealing with councilors and municipal zoning experience; someone capable of consulting with clients to overcome zoning restrictions on large private projects.

THE JOB

• 10+ years experience - fully licensed Ontario Architect - with extensive experience in stacked multi-residential mixed use projects
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to confidently deal with large developers on complex projects that involve master planning, project coordination, and contract administration
• The desire to take a take a senior stake in a well-established firm with a strong pipeline of projects; to work collaboratively with others in an office - in a non-hybrid environment
• An ability to deal with city councilors, deal with zoning amendments & strong knowledge of OBC
• Strong sense of design and portfolio of commercial, high-rise, low to mid-rise, & mixed use projects; track record of dealing with projects from inception to closure
• Previous experience as a Senior Architect or Associate in a firm dealing with large complex private projects a big plus
