EXPERIENCED SENIOR ARCHITECT - 8 TO 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE This is your chance to be part of a leading design studio that strives to create elegant, innovative and sustainable environments in order to positively impact the health and happiness of local communities across British Columbia. We are seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior Architect to join our team. As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of architectural design and planning for a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Lead project teams and provide guidance to junior architects and other team members. \xc2\xb7 Develop and implement project design strategies in collaboration with clients and stakeholders. \xc2\xb7 Conduct site visits and evaluate site conditions to inform design decisions. \xc2\xb7 Develop design concepts, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards. \xc2\xb7 Review and approve project designs, drawings, and documents. \xc2\xb7 Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure project requirements are met. \xc2\xb7 Manage client relationships and serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. \xc2\xb7 Participate in business development activities, such as proposal writing and client presentations. \xc2\xb7 Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to design projects. What you bring to the role: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. \xc2\xb7 8-10 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on commercial or institutional projects. \xc2\xb7 Senior level understanding of BC Building Code and Bylaw \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of drawing production and building permit applications \xc2\xb7 Wood- frame, steel and concrete construction systems and detailing knowledge \xc2\xb7 Expertise in commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects. \xc2\xb7 Strong leadership and communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit. \xc2\xb7 Excellent design and problem-solving skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. . Must be registered with the AIBC or eligible for registration in the province of BC.
