We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant on our corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for performing general accounting functions in the global accounting department including the monthly close out process for all countries. A typical day will be spent:

• Performing revenue analysis in line with IFRS 15 reporting standards
• Performing monthly Cumulative Translation Adjustment analysis
• Maintaining and updating Property Plant and Equipment schedules
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
• Performing regular Goodwill impairment analysis
• Hands-on participation in the monthly close process
• Assisting in preparing the monthly financial statements
• Preparing timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Calculating and remitting Sales and Use tax returns
• Monitoring sales tax compliance in the United States and taking necessary action as required

This role could be a good fit for you if you have:

• A minimum of 5 year's experience in a full-cycle accounting role
• A professional Accounting designation; CPA is preferred
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting for a group of international subsidiaries
• Working knowledge of financial software; preferably Microsoft Dynamics
• Advanced analysis and MS Excel skills

The ideal candidate will reside in Winnipeg and would be open to a Hybrid work arrangement, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
