We service companies in all major metropolitan regions across Canada to ensure that our country remains the true north, strong, and free.THE OPPORTUNITYIn your role as SR&ED Financial Consultant, you will be working with industry leaders in technology and finance from all over Western Canada. You will be at the forefront of some of the latest scientific and technological advancements in a wide array of industries by supporting them through the SR&ED process.You will primarily be responsible for identifying SR&ED, ensuring all costs are identified and supported, and preparing the necessary SR&ED tax forms for our clients. The ideal candidate is someone with experience in public practice accounting and/or corporate tax preparation.Extensive training on specific government incentive programs and claim submission best practices will be provided, though previous experience composing reports/proposals for grants and tax incentive programs is desirable as this is a highly specialized position.JOB BENEFITS Remote office / work from home Corporate medical/dental plan Full-time permanent employment opportunity Salary is negotiableKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Participate and attend technical interviews and ensuring the necessary financial information required from clients is collected for the preparation of the SR&ED claim. Responsible for ensuring all client costs (direct and support costs) are identified and supported. Prepare the costing and resource allocations on or before deadlines. Complete all tax forms associated the SR&ED claims. Assist and guide clients during technical reviews with the Canada Revenue Agency.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSIdeally candidates will meet all job requirements listed below: 1 or more years in preparing SR&ED tax credit claims. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience. Bachelors Degree in Accounting and strong finance and tax expertise. Having a CA, CGA, CMA, or CPA designation is desirable Willingness to learn, ability to quickly grasp new scientific and technical concepts Proven ability to multi-task and satisfy multiple client deadlines Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision Advanced MS Office (Word/Excel) skills for financial analysis Language of work is English Outstanding oral communication skills including an ability to draw out development obstacles our clients have faced, and discuss in technical terms, advancements our clients have made.Please submit your cover letter and resume to us.
