The role of Senior Accountant is multi-faceted, fast-paced opportunity. The ideal candidate is looking to
learn, and excited by growth and change. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is a
key member of the accounting team and is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial
statements for their assigned companies. This role is based out of our Home Office in Edmonton.
You will realize success by your ability to:
  • Provide monthly / quarterly / annual full cycle accounting, timely and accurately
  • Prepare financial reporting including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Variance
Analysis
  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasts
  • Manage cash and cash forecasting
  • Provide regulatory reporting
  • Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with audits, liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders including operations teams and business owners
  • Review work of Accountants
  • Create ad hoc reporting or analysis as required

You bring:
  • Five + years\xe2\x80\x99 related experience
  • An accounting diploma or equivalent experience
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of same
  • Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel
(Yardi experience is also preferred)
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • A team player attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A friendly demeanor with a sense of humour and the utmost respect for all persons
