Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Publish financial statements on time
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
• Lead accounting team on month end and quarterly close processes
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company\'s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
• Other duties will include being accountable for the coordination of the accounting team, financial reporting, internal reporting and analysis, financial and general accounting, assisting in audits, budgeting, treasury, and inventory

Qualifications:

• Professional accounting designation CPA, CGA or CMA
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of Accounting Standard for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian tax rules
• Macro and other accounting software experience considered an asset
• Proficient utilizing MS Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe and Advanced Excel skills is required
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Excellent work ethic and willing to work overtime when needed
• Ability to lead, train, and develop junior staff
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
