Prepare month end account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries including bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accruals, intercompany transactions and capital assets
Accounts payable relief coverage which includes posting vendor invoices, reconciling vendor accounts and preparing semi-monthly payments
Accounts receivable relief coverage which includes preparing customer invoices, processing customer payments, reconciling customer accounts and making collection calls
Prepare federal, provincial and state tax remittances (Canada and USA)
Assist with year-end audits
Complete other projects and duties as required
Skills & Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance or related discipline required
Enrolled in the CPA program
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Handling multi-currency transactions
Excellent interpersonal skills; both spoken and written
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets
Organized, detail-oriented and a high degree of accuracy
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Be flexible and adaptable to ongoing change
Familiarity with SysPro ERP software is an asset
