The Loft on 5th is a boutique coworking and event venue located in downtown Lethbridge. We host workshops, business events, corporate retreats, weddings, community gatherings, and creative collaborations. Our mission is to create a warm, inspiring space where businesses and individuals can connect, grow, and thrive.
We are hiring a Sales & Marketing Coordinator who can expand our visibility, build strong relationships in the community, and help drive growth in both coworking memberships and event bookings.
About the Role
This role combines marketing, outreach, community engagement, and relationship-building to strengthen The Loft's presence in the region. You will represent our brand in the community, connect with local businesses, create engaging digital content, and generate interest in our coworking and event offerings.
You will work closely with our Event Coordinator and Coworking Community Coordinator, who manage bookings, tours, and calendar administration.
ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing and Content Creation
Capture photos and videos of the space, events, and community
Create and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Produce reels, stories, carousels, event recaps, and coworking highlights
Create and send a monthly newsletter and manage ongoing email communications
Maintain updated and segmented email subscriber lists
Make light website updates in Showit, including photos, announcements, and event information
Maintain the online events calendar
Coworking Outreach and Community Development
Build relationships with local business owners, freelancers, and small teams
Learn about their goals, needs, and challenges
Identify ways The Loft's coworking and in-house services can support their growth
Generate warm leads for coworking tours and memberships
Support initiatives such as lunch and learns, networking activities, member spotlights, and collaborative workshops
Work with the Coworking Community Coordinator to ensure a positive onboarding experience
Event Sales and Business Connections
Connect with larger businesses, organizations, and professionals to promote:
Corporate events
Team retreats
Workshops and training sessions
Private events and intimate weddings
Attend networking events as a representative of The Loft
Strengthen our presence and relationships within the local business community
Generate inquiries and leads for the Event Coordinator to book and administer
Brand Representation and Community Presence
Serve as a warm, professional ambassador for The Loft
Maintain consistent, on-brand communication across all platforms
Bring forward ideas for partnerships, outreach initiatives, and events
Participate in monthly team meetings and share insights on marketing and community engagement
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in marketing, outreach, community engagement, or sales
Ability to capture quality photos and videos for social content
Strong writing skills with a clear, approachable tone
Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing tools
Comfortable attending networking events and discussing the business in a professional setting
Organized, self-directed, and proactive in identifying opportunities
Experience with Showit is an asset (training will be provided)
Hours and Schedule
20-25 hours per week
Half-day weekday schedule, with occasional additional hours for networking and event coverage
Regular on-site presence required
Compensation
$21-$25 per hour, based on experience
Eligibility for a quarterly performance-based bonus based on outreach impact, lead generation, and marketing contributions
