We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of renovation, restoration, and construction tasks to improve and refurbish residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Renovator will work closely with project managers and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute renovation plans
Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
Perform carpentry tasks including cabinet installation, framing, and general woodwork
Conduct concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work as needed for various projects
Install flooring, tile laying, and other surface finishes with precision
Execute plumbing, electrical work, painting, caulking, and other restoration tasks
Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials required
Operate heavy equipment safely for demolition or material handling purposes
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout each project
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction, renovation, or related trades
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery
Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting is highly desirable
Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction estimates
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces
Valid driver's license is preferred for transporting materials or equipment on-site
A commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
