We are looking for someone to join our small renovation crew in Deep River. This job is perfect for someone who wants hands-on work and the satisfaction of seeing finished projects, but without giving up your personal life to a 9-5 grind!
We work 3 weeks of full-time (M-F) followed by 1 full week off every month -- so you can rest, travel, or work on side projects. We believe in work life balance.
We do bathroom renovations, tub-to-shower conversions, and accessibility upgrades. It's a small crew with a lot of variety in the work and environment. The best part about the work is that people really appreciate what we do for them. It's also fun, physical, and challenging in a good way.
The ideal candidate will have a background in building and renovation, however the experience could be personal (working on your own home) and it's OK if you don't have all the skills right away. Bathroom renovation touches on many skills and trades, and being a bit of a generalist is a good thing. Hands-on training will be provided as needed, but note that this is not an apprenticeship or trainee role. You should be comfortable doing work that is labor-intensive, messy, dusty, and noisy. You should know how to read a tape measure and use basic power tools, especially cutting tools.
Owning a car and having a G/G2 license is ideal but not necessary as long as you have the ability to arrive on time at our Deep River location on work mornings. Our projects are between Stonecliffe and Pembroke, with 75% in Deep River.
