Select People Solutions is looking for a Recruitment Assistant to provide recruiter support for the duration of maternity leave. The successful candidate will develop a broad knowledge of the organization, the facilities, the recruitment process, and the wider job market in Southern Alberta to effectively support the recruiters so they can spend more time as the face of the business. Compensation & Hours:
  • The rate of pay will be $18 - $20/hr.
  • This is a fulltime position covering a maternity leave with possibility of permanent
  • Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Position Summary:
  • Tracking stages of multiple recruitments with accurate and timely data entry, ensuring all requirements are met by either the recruiter or delegate
  • Candidate generation brainstorming and research (advertising methods, database searching, networking opportunities,
  • Sourcing talent through job boards, referrals, schools, associations, social media, career fairs, etc.
  • Drafting, transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, and filing documents
  • Writing effective job advertisements for the purpose of attracting quality candidates
  • Administering aptitude and psychometric assessments to determine candidate suitability
  • Conducting background screening via reference calls and criminal record checks
  • Keeping detailed records regarding candidates, clients, and recruiting campaigns
  • Developing, maintaining, and presenting reports & spreadsheets
  • Providing recruiter coverage; interviewing candidates, filling orders, client correspondence, hazard assessments
  • Ensuring appropriate supplies and support materials are readily available
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of previous administrative or customer service experience
  • Minimum typing speed of 40WPM
  • Technological aptitude; proficiency in MS Excel, Word, & Outlook, as well as database software and researching capabilities
  • Must be able to keep track of multiple projects and move all of them towards completion
  • Ability to think critically and work independently, but not afraid to ask for help
  • Highly adaptable, organized, and detail oriented
  • Can keep recruiters accountable in a respectful manner; ensuring proper follow-up is completed on items arising from meetings and conversations
  • Demonstrate high standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
  • Outstanding written communication
  • Valid driver's license
