About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment Services, the Recruitment Assistant provides administrative support to the Manager, Recruitment Advisors and Recruitment Consultants. They exercise good judgment, initiative, accuracy, speed and knowledge related to Nova Scotia Health's hiring practices. The successful incumbent will have exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and function as a primary point of contact for employees and new hires to the organization. The primary duties of the position include:

  • Issuing offer letters and status changes to both internal employees and new hires to Nova Scotia Health
  • Compiling employee information and documentation
  • Processing internal and external requests
  • Reviewing and verifying candidate applications
  • Entering and maintaining recruitment reporting data
  • Being the first point of contact for all new hires to Nova Scotia Health
  • Providing other administrative support as required

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 plus a graduate of a one year secretarial/business diploma, (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years related administrative experience; preferably in human resources
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication, customer service, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Well-developed organizational, time management and daily planning skills
  • Ability to work closely with a team, as well as independently manage their own portfolio
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP and human resource information system (preferably SuccessFactors & SAP)
  • Customer Service - actively listens and conveys understanding of customers' requests so their needs can be anticipated and satisfied
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred
Hours of Work
  • 4x permanent, full-time positions; 75 hours biweekly
  • Work location is flexible within Northern, Eastern or Western zones. Flexibility to work on-site or from home
Salary Information

Recruitment Assistant (BANDR01):

$22.3064 - $27.8830 hourly ($43,497 - $54,371 annually)
