As an HR System Advisor, you will play a leading role in supporting and developing the Contact People (Workday) system.

In this role, you will report to the HR System Manager.

We will offer you the opportunity to:

  • Learn how a changing cloud-based system works to improve the employee and manager experience.
  • Establish and develop partnerships with stakeholders at all levels in the organization: HR, finance, IT, managers, employees, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of the Contact People (Workday) system in a North American company that is focused on talent management. This system includes the following workstreams: HR, Compensation, Performance, Time and Absence, Recruiting, Talent and Learning.
Your role:

Technical support:
  • Respond to and administer tickets that are escalated by the HR Service Centre and involve HR systems problems or issues.
  • Make an initial diagnosis when a problem is raised.
  • Work with senior advisors and specialists to find both causes and solutions for issues raised.
  • Perform certain validations and corrections to ensure compliance with organizational processes and to maintain and improve data integrity.
  • Inform the teams concerned through this process.
  • Suggest process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce the number of tickets at the Service Centre.
  • Document the identified solutions to accelerate resolution of future tickets.
Security:
  • Adjust role assignments.
  • Conduct security audits to ensure compliance of assignments.
Tests:
  • Write test scenarios for system improvements and correction of identified issues.
  • Perform and document functional tests.
What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, IT management or human resources management.
  • Two years of relevant experience in human resources, payroll or information management.
  • Experience with HR systems (Contact People, an asset).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French. Regular interaction with colleagues from across the country will be required.
  • Strong organizational skills (planning, document management, follow-up).
  • Ability to adapt.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, an asset.
