The Opportunity
The People, Learning, and Culture team is recruiting for a Compensation Advisor. In this role, you will be working with a small team of compensation subject matter experts at the AER; working in a collaborative engaged team of total rewards experts, and other HR professionals.

You will be a key player in day-to-day compensation activities and providing support to the organization and ensure the AER\xe2\x80\x99s day-to-day compensation program is well run and meets commitments. As a compensation subject matter expert, you will also be participating in a number of projects, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with the HR systems team to test and implement HCM enhancements/reporting.

The AER\xe2\x80\x99s People, Learning, and Culture branch is a dynamic team of professionals working collaboratively to provide value to the employees and stakeholders of the AER while maintaining a focus on personal wellness, professional development, and work life balance.

Your Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide ongoing consultation and subject-matter expertise to the organization on compensation and recognition programs, practices and administration.

  • Provide advice and guidance to recruiters, HR Business Partners, and AER management on compensation and job evaluation matters.

  • Conduct data analysis, testing of HR system changes, complete surveys, and develop communication materials.

  • Accountable for integrity of compensation information in Workday system and approval of compensation-related transactions.

  • Involved in development of compensation processes and audits of data within Workday. Manage job architecture within the AER\xe2\x80\x99s human resources information system.


Qualifications:

  • Post secondary degree in business or other relevant education is preferred.

  • 5+ years working experience in compensation.

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation are considered asset(s).

  • Organized, self starter, attention to detail, can work independently in a time sensitive environment.

  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build strong relationships, ability to understand clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs, influence, and liaise effectively.

  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent analytical, Excel and problem-solving skills.
