We are looking for a Compensation Advisor to join us in the exciting work we do in Human Resources Department. Reporting to the Manager, Compensation it will be your responsibility to support all the compensation activities within ATCO, both domestic and international. In this position, you also get to provide compensation expertise and support to colleagues across the companies.

What You Get To Do:

  • Participate in the planning, delivery and completion of the annual salary and bonus programs.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and engage with external consultants to support benchmarking activities.
  • Provide advanced analytical, and project support for compensation reviews, which encompass competitive benchmarking, designing compensation structures, base pay administration, financial modeling and costing projections.
  • Research and analyze market data to ensure ATCO remains competitive in its compensation structure.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and subject-matter expertise to HR Business Partners, Managers and Senior Leadership on compensation related policies, programs, practices and administration for our existing global and new global operations.
  • Participate in the creation of compensation strategies in supporting the business goals, and leads special projects as assigned.
  • Provide analytical support for a variety of compensation policies, programs and recommendation for improvements.
  • Provide guidance on union and non-union jobs evaluation.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Human Resources, Finance, or related field is required.
  • 3 - 5 years compensation experience is required.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (World at Work) and the Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation would be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of total compensation, compensation surveys, and compensation market trends.
  • In-depth knowledge in conducting and analyzing complex quantitative research involving human resources data, and providing advice and recommendations to decision makers.
  • Experience with international compensation, executive compensation and union compensation would be an asset.
  • Proven track record of ability to work independently and lead/complete projects in a timely fashion, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated high level proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Experience with HRIS applications (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP) is an asset.
  • Candidates with significant relevant experience will be considered at the Senior Advisor level.
